There are now so many phone masts/towers/antennae that some might say, “One more won’t make any difference”.

What if that “one more” is right next to your home and is transmitting 24 hours a day, every day of the year?

What’s the problem?

Well, I overheard residents of Lindisfarne Way saying how ugly the towers are and that is how this page came to be called Lindisfarne. Yet “ugly” is likely to be the least of their concerns if the tower planned for their road is installed and is used for 5G.

Is radiation harmful?

Clearly some radiation is harmful. Radiation from the sun can sunburn some people in a matter of minutes. This fact may help to understand more of what is going on with the microwaves from communication devices. One person may burn in minutes, while another standing next to them does not burn at all in those minutes or even after staying in that same intense sunshine for hours after their friend has gone indoors in agony.

Microwave damage is more subtle. Firstly, if it can be said to cook us at all that cooking will be from the inside out just as happens to food in a microwave oven. Different wavelengths penetrate to different depths, just as UV light can penetrate our skin to change cholesterol stored well below the surface into vitamin D  (that then protects us from over 200 types of disease).

Microwaves come in many wavelengths. At low power levels (measured as V/m2) it is difficult to detect any harm from any wavelength. With higher power levels it becomes clear in laboratory testing that some wavelengths are far more dangerous than others. It is this laboratory testing that allows us to know that some of the new 5G frequencies can be lethal to insects, plants and us if we are exposed to too much for too long.

What is too much? Hard to say.

One person may get a headache after any mobile phone call lasting more than a few minutes, while others may never ever experience a phone induced headache. Besides how can anyone prove it was the microwaves from the phone that caused the headache and not something else about that person such as feeling stressed by content of the phone calls?

Thousands of people around the world (maybe millions) have claimed their health worsened immediately after a phone mast was installed near their home. Again, there’s no proof (is there?) that it was the microwave radiation that caused their troubles.

I could type pages on this subject but really almost everyone has already made up their minds about microwave safety…

  • Most say we have to live with it and it is not worth complaining
  • A small but growing number are saying this is a massive and growing health crisis
  • There do not seem to be many in-between – or perhaps you are one of the undecided?

Could Lindisfarne Way in Grantham be some kind of test case?

What if residents had their homes surveyed for radiation levels and sources of radiation before any more towers/ masts/antennae are installed in the area and then if new sources of microwaves are installed and switched on, have the exact same surveys? Well, this would only be useful if the people having their homes surveyed were to also make notes about their health before and after the new installations. Plus a control group would be needed from homes where no new sources of radiation are being installed nearby.

Perhaps a starting point would be to ask as many residents as possible living within an agreed distance from the exact place proposed for the tower if they are for or against its installation. Perhaps also asking for a top reason for and top reason against having the tower installed.

Who is up for working together to find out what is really going on with these 5G installations? Perhaps aiming to stop this one and perhaps helping other parts of Grantham and people in  other towns to have more say when it comes to EMF/microwave/5G exposure.

(Yes, I know I have typed ‘perhaps’ 4 times – it is because I do not have the answers – I am keen to have some answers and ideally before many more towers start irradiating us with wavelengths previously only used on battlefields!)

If you’d like my help please type “Lindisfarne” into this contact form as well as your name and postcode. Thank you.
