Thoughts on “Change Your T-Shirt”…
In the book SUMO (Shut Up, Move On) there is a chapter called, “Change Your T-Shirt”. This is about how we are all sending out a message to all around us according to our attitude. This message informs people how we are likely to react or respond to various circumstances.
Possibly my T-shirt used to say, “Yes, I can do that.”
CoViD-measures and my poor efforts to adapt to the incoming New World Order seem to have changed me. What might my recent ‘T-shirt’ have been saying?
Hopefully nothing as devoid as hope as the message below that starts with, “SORRY, I CAN’T…”

Perhaps one message I am giving to the world is, “Leave me alone :-(”
Do we sometimes wear the wrong T-shirt without realizing? In the real world, we may look in the mirror yet fail to read the words or not realize how others are interpreting our words.
Changing my T-shirt for one that says, “Help, Please Help!” isn’t going to resolve my troubles. Nor is, “I’m fragile, please handle with care.” going to be a message for the times we find ourselves in. How about, “Please forgive me”? …….No, survival and perhaps thriving for me and those around me probably requires a more positive message.
I need to ‘Choose My Attitude’. (That’s a chapter/theme in the book, ‘FISH!’)
A friend in Vermont had “Can I Help?” or maybe it was “How Can I Help?” displayed under his name on Skype.
Is that an attitude? It certainly has an air of positivity about it.
As times change, maybe I need to selecting a fresh T-shirt each day.
Moods? If I am going to show you what my imaginary T-shirt looks like, I need to consider whether the colours match my to mood(s)…
I am seeing this article as work in progress. I welcome your thoughts on it.
