Here’s some guidance for working as a group to send letters out across the whole country

  1. Select a post code area such as HP13 (It is possible to search the group chat for mentions of the postcode area you are thinking of)
  2. Decide whether to start with schools, GP, pharmacies, vaccination places, other
  3. Claim that area for yourself and in doing so you’ll give others a chance to say “already doing that” or perhaps, “I’ve written to the schools there but nothing else there yet”. Do this ‘claiming’ by typing, “I can do / I claim PE2 Schools” or perhaps “I can do / I claim NG4 Schools, GP and pharm”
  4. Keep a record of each address you are sending to.
  5. Find letters at www.sharewellness.co.uk/letter or www.sharewellness.co.uk/letters and perhaps find other good letters and leaflets to include.
  6. It is essential everyone knows about the adverse reactions so be sure to print that page.
  7. Print whichever other pages you believe will help.
  8. Write your own cover letter if you want / perhaps add a name and address at the top of the printed page(s)
  9. It may be best to find names of teachers, managers, doctors, nurses, else maybe start with a general letter to be opened by anyone at that address – you need to guess which is best.
  10. Address an envelope, seal and make a note of delivery method and date it is posted or hand-delivered.
  11. Let the group know how you are getting on with messages such as “CF32 GP Done” – In general more detail is better for encouraging others and avoiding duplication.
  12. Follow up is important. Initially we need to know if they have read and understood the letter(s)
  13. Next, follow-up to find out if they are changes what they say and do.
