I found this from Canada very moving. It is a film that was made at a time the citizen’s were having their freedoms removed. Many believed that taking action would save them from mandates and new laws that were to make the poor poorer. A few weeks later things seem to go very badly for the people as many freedoms they had seemed to be taken away.

I am now listening to Professor Mattias Desmet explaining more about freedom: “We are inclined to believe that people want to be free, but most people don’t. Most people are scared of freedom. Freedom brings with it responsibility; it brings challenges. It makes [it so] that you need to think. You need to do a certain mental labor; you need to think about your life, [and] you need to think about decisions you have to make… Most people prefer not to do it and prefer to look for someone who tells them what to do.”
